The Arbor Lounge Chair is designed for and inspired by its immediate environment the Helsingør based cafe Patio and the harbour of the town. Anchored in the cafés vision to preserve the town as a cultural habitat by mirroring the vessels that navigate the waters surrounding the town. The Arbor name plays on a duality of Arbor (wood, latin) and Harbour.
Stringent straight lines and curves meet in a juxtaposed interplay, creating a complex yet playful design language. The chair’s stacked construction is entirely crafted in solid European oak and finished with a neutral hardwax oil. Intricate from all angles, Arbor operates as both an art piece and a functional
object - a nucleus in any space it is placed in.
